Two brothers, Alejandro and Galo, and their longtime friend Oscar, after living in Canada and Europe, reunited in Ecuador and decided to found AOG Foods because of their passion for chocolate and love for their country. AOG Foods chocolate reflects the extraordinary and exotic soul of Ecuador. This megadiverse small country in South America has some of the best varieties of cacao in the world, such as the country’s national “Arriba” or “Fine Aroma Cacao”, that has been used for many years for the best gourmet chocolate companies of the world. At AOG Foods, we have developed a range of unique chocolates by using the Ecuadorian raw material of excellence, the “Arriba” fine aroma cacao. This allows us to offer chocolate lovers products with many nuances and richness from each region of the country. The cocoa beans are influenced by a great variety of flowers and exotic fruits that grow in various microclimates. But even more than a high-quality chocolate, AOG Foods wants to offer its consumers an unforgettable experience of flavors and aromas that will take them through fascinating landscapes, stories, and legends of what is known as the golden nugget, the Ecuadorian cocoa.

Not all cocoa beans are similar or can be adapted to specific needs. One of AOG Foods' missions is to ensure that our products, whether chocolate or cocoa derivatives, offer such a high quality and variety of flavors that they can address the specifics of all types of clientele. Furthermore, to continue this trend, new products are tested every day to ensure we can compete and give value in the chocolate manufacturing industry of today. Our hard working people and the environment: At AOG Foods, we produce all our products in Ecuador, for an assured guarantee of quality and fair trade. Developing a product that would become a leading competitor in the chocolate market is essential, but always ensuring that we work in accordance with the values of fair trade and environmental protection. We work in close collaboration with several cocoa growers' associations ensuring that they are properly cared for, in particular, through their compensation. We pay 20% to 50% more than the market price for the cocoa beans so the agricultors can benefit directly. We feel rewarded because they can improve their life quality, they give us a great cacao, and ultimately we help to preserve Ecuador's biodiversity through traditional farming and harvesting methods that these small producers follow. Quality: This can only be achieved by a great group of workers. At AOG everyone participates in the company’s important decisions. Everyone contributes with their expertise and their passion to attain our goals. We follow very strict procedures for processing our cacao in order to make a delicious chocolate. Our company has the Good Manufacturing Practices Certification, Organic Certification for North America and Europe and soon will become GFSI certified through the ISO certification for food FSSC 22000.
Our newly built facility AOG Foods handles the whole process of making bean to bar chocolate. Characteristics of the facility:
